You’re not alone: local support for Men’s Mental Health

by Laura Johnston

An estimated one in eight men experience mental health challenges such as feeling anxious or low.

While these issues are common, many men feel they must face them alone due to not wanting to appear weak by asking for help.

In Knowsley, a growing network of men’s groups is helping to change that. These safe, welcoming spaces give men the chance to talk openly with others and share whatever’s worrying them.

Evolving Mindset runs clubs where men can take part in various sports such as football, boxercise, circuit training, badminton, and table tennis. These sessions also provide opportunities to talk and offload.
