Eco Therapy Garden in Kirkby is hosting a waste awareness day on Wednesday 11 March 2026 from 10am.
The council’s Recycling Engagement team will also be on-hand to share information around waste awareness, composting and get hands-on with growing!
Come along and meet with the team to learn more about recycling, composting and even get creative and turn an old bottle into something beautiful and useful!
The event supports Composting Week which takes place from 10 to 16 March 2026.
The programme on Wednesday 11 March includes:-
10am Waste management awareness
11am Bottle reuse growing activity
12pm Composting talk and garden compost tour
1.30pm Bottle reuse growing activity
2.30pm Waste management awareness
You can drop-in to any of the events – no booking is required and remember to bring an empty plastic bottle to take part in the reuse activity.
