Today marks Ukrainian Independence Day, exactly 18 months after Russia’s full-scale invasion of the country.
To show our support for Ukraine we are lighting up Greystone Bridge in blue and yellow.
Since the war began, a number of Ukrainian families have resettled in Knowsley via the Homes for Ukraine scheme. The Council has also hosted events to bring Ukrainian guests together, help them connect and create a support network in the borough.
