Transformation clear to see in Kirkby Town Centre

Further photos have been issued showing the extensive progress which is being made on the new retail development in Kirkby Town Centre.

Work has continued throughout the pandemic and the new development will help to support the Borough’s recovery from the pandemic.

The site includes a 45,000 feet2 Morrisons superstore, a six-pump petrol filling station, drive-through KFC and Taco Bell restaurants, and a new store for Home Bargains.  It also includes car parking for over 450 vehicles.

Once complete, the new retail development will provide hundreds of employment opportunities as well as boosting the local economy by over £15m per annum.

It is expected that the site will be handed over to the operators for internal fit-out over the coming weeks with the retail development due to open over the Summer.

There are also several existing units available ranging from 1,100 feet2 to 25,000 feet2.  Find out more by contacting the Invest Knowsley Team on (0151) 477 4000 or emailing invest@knowsley.gov.uk.

As the new retail development is being completed, focus is also now moving on to the delivery of a multi-screen cinema scheme, complete with three new food/drink outlets.
