Thinking about adoption? Find out more from someone who’s been on the journey

by Laura Johnston

If you’ve been thinking about adoption, Knowsley Council is encouraging you to discover what the journey could mean for you, from someone who’s already taken that next step.

Adoption in Merseyside (AiM) hosts regular information sessions where you can find out more about adoption from the friendly team. They will provide an overview of the process, talk about the commitment required and the rewards adoption brings. As part of the session you will also hear from an adopter who will share their story and there will be chance to ask any questions you may have.

AiM’s next sessions will take place on:

  • Tuesday 14 July at 6pm
  • Wednesday 19 August at 6pm
  • Tuesday 8 September at 6pm

You can book your place here.

Councillor Sean Donnelly, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said:

If adoption has been on your mind, we’d really encourage you to find out more from the brilliant team at Adoption in Merseyside. Their regular online information sessions are relaxed and informal, with no pressure—just an opportunity to explore whether adoption could be right for you. If you choose to go further, you’ll be supported every step of the way, throughout your journey and beyond.”

Adoption in Merseyside (AiM) is the regional adoption agency for Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton and Wirral, offering caring, professional support from your first enquiry and continuing long after your adoption is complete.
