The Coffee House has confirmed it will be opening its doors in Kirkby Town Centre.
This will be the Coffee House’s fourteenth outlet, and their second in Knowsley, having opened in Huyton Village Centre in 2019.
The new Coffee House will be located in two of the newly built units, occupying 1,668 feet2 on Telegraph Way in the heart of Kirkby Town Centre, which also benefits from over 450 free parking spaces (for up to three hours) and the refurbishment of the multi-storey car park right next door which will commence this summer. Plans for the Coffee House in Kirkby also include the provision of an outdoor seating area.
The Coffee House produce a speciality coffee blend in its state of art Roastery creating a well-rounded medium house roast, as well as serving a variety of teas, hot chocolates, milkshakes and iced drinks.
Within The Coffee House Central Production Facility in Warrington a selection of food, from breakfast muffins, toasties, paninis, wraps, sandwiches and salads are made fresh daily, as well as delicious homemade cakes, pastries, and even handmade bread and teacakes. Each item is packaged and delivered every night to their coffee shops.
This latest announcement follows the opening of PureGym in the town on 7 December 2022.
Knowsley Council asked the Kirkby population “What makes a good town centre?” and the Council has been delivering on residents’ priorities ever since – those key priorities were a supermarket, more retailers, a leisure offer, and more places to eat and drink.
Councillor Tony Brennan, Knowsley Council’s Regeneration and Economic Development Cabinet Member, said: “I’m delighted to welcome the Coffee House to Kirkby, providing another food and drink offer to respond to what residents and visitors have told us they wanted.
“I know that the Coffee House operate a very successful outlet in Huyton Village Centre and I’m sure their success will continue here in Kirkby.
“It’s great to see yet more lettings in this key part of our town centre.
“I’m incredibly proud of what the Council has achieved in such a short space of time and we remain committed to continuing with our development plans for Kirkby.”
Chris Shelmerdine from the Coffee House added: “We couldn’t be more excited to have the opportunity for our second location within Knowsley. We will be forever thankful for the reception from the local community of Huyton, and we can’t wait to become part of the community in Kirkby later this year.
“Kirkby will be the second project we have delivered in partnership with Knowsley Council, and we are really grateful to the team at the Council for their continued commitment and support that has allowed us to reach this stage.”
Internal works will commence on the unit over the coming weeks and the Coffee House is planning to open their doors in Kirkby this summer.
