Tex-Mex chain Taco Bell has opened in Kirkby Town Centre today.
It is the second outlet to open on the new retail development, following KFC last month.
Also planned to open over the coming months are Morrisons, including their petrol filling station, and Home Bargains.
From today, the new Taco Bell restaurant offers eat in, take out, drive-thru and delivery options and is open seven days a week.
The Kirkby restaurant is the chain’s 67th opening in the UK and it has 7.500 restaurants around the world.
Cllr Graham Morgan, Leader of Knowsley Council, who attended the opening this morning said “Having such a well-established and popular chain coming to Kirkby is a real welcome boost to the town.
“We asked our residents and businesses what they wanted to see in Kirkby and more eateries was a key priority for them. We have listened with Taco Bell bringing a taste of Tex-Mex to Kirkby.
“Not only that, the restaurant has also provided a range of employment opportunities for local people.
“I’m delighted to be here today and welcome Taco Bell to Kirkby.”
Lucy Dee, Head of Marketing at Taco Bell UK, added “We’re delighted to be able to bring Taco Bell to Kirkby. We’re very pleased to be able to create local jobs despite challenging circumstances.”
You can find out more about Taco Bell, including their menu and ordering online, on their website.
