Accounting Technician
Accounting Technicians handle day-to-day money and finance tasks for all types of business.

It may be useful to do a qualification like:
- Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting accredited by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT)
- Foundations in Accountancy accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
- T Level in Accounting
You’ll usually need:
- 4 or 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English and maths for a T level

Business Development Manager
Business Development Managers build relationships with customers, suppliers and partners. They help businesses to grow and improve.
You can get into this job through:

You could study a college course in sales or business. If you’ve started work in a junior role, you could think about taking qualifications like:
- Level 3 Award in Business Development Skills
- Level 3 Certificate in Sales and Account Management
You’ll need:-
- 4 or 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, for a level 3 course
You can get into this career by doing a degree. Most degree subjects are acceptable though relevant subjects include:
- business management
- business development
- accountancy
- economics
- international relations
You’ll need 2 to 3 A levels, or equivalent, for a degree.

Finance Officer
Finance Officers help to manage the finances of an organisation by keeping track of its income and controlling its spending.

You’ll usually need:
- 2 or more GCSEs at grades 9 to 3 (A* to D), or equivalent, for a level 2 course
- 4 or 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, for a level 3 course
- 4 or 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English and maths for a T level
- 2 to 3 A levels, or equivalent, for a degree
