A new business selling potted plants, houseplants and plant accessories will open its doors on Huyton’s Derby Road on Thursday 23 May.

‘Open Upon a Plant’ will be open at Make Huyton Village in the unit previously occupied by Boots between 10.30am to 3pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Plant merchant at Once Upon a Plant Agnieszka Holubik said: “Beauty of nature, appreciation of plants, art, interior design and inspiration come together and let you see plants like you have never seen them before. Come and meet me and the plants at Make Huyton Village and have a seat in our comfy chair.”

As well as plants, shoppers will be able to purchase handmade homewares, sweets and gifts crafted by the talented ‘makers’ at Make Huyton Village.

Cllr Tony Brennan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, said: “I’m sure Once Upon a Plant will be a fantastic addition to Huyton Village Centre’s retail offer. By shopping at Make Huyton Village you’re helping to support the local economy and the fantastic artists and ‘makers’ on site.
