The Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside recently presented Knowsley based MPE Ltd, with the King’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation.

MPE was among the first to win the inaugural King’s Award in 2023 and only one of two in Merseyside. The company’s innovative Military Standard HEMP Filters are recognised for groundbreaking design.

Marcus Wright, Manufacturing Director at MPE said:

“We are celebrating the highest award that can be bestowed on a UK business, The King’s Award for Enterprise. These awards are not achievable without the dedicated work of our team.”

“Such an award shows that the UK is at the forefront of innovative design and that we, MPE, have been innovating for nearly 100 years, and we thank the King’s Award for this recognition.”

Lord-Lieutenant Mr Mark Blundell said:

“I was delighted to be able to present MPE Ltd with the King’s Award for Enterprise today.  This is the first KAE to be presented to a company in Merseyside, and MPE Ltd has received the award for Innovation. They have proven themselves to be an outstanding company, and this award is clearly well deserved.  My congratulations go out to all concerned.”

The King’s Awards for Enterprise are for outstanding achievement by UK businesses across four categories. The award for Innovation is given for invention, design or production of goods; performance of services; marketing and distribution; or after-sales support of goods or services.

Founded in 1925, MPE Ltd researches, develops and manufactures high-performance electrical filters to protect mission-critical applications in defence, aerospace, and infrastructure security.
