Planning Enforcement Officer
Salary is £35,000 – £39,999 and the closing date is 20 April 2026
Following an internal promotion, we are seeking a motivated and proactive Planning Enforcement Officer to play a key role within our Planning Service. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward‑thinking authority committed to high‑quality development, robust enforcement, and excellent customer service.
As our Planning Enforcement Officer, you will work with the Senior Enforcement Officer and the wider Development Management team to investigate alleged breaches of planning control in accordance with our adopted planning enforcement plan. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing formal notices, taking part in appeals, prosecutions, and negotiations to secure positive outcomes.

Principal Building Control Surveyor
Salary is £53,460 – £54,495 per annum and the closing date is 19 April 2026
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to assist the Building Control Manager and Principal Building Control Officer in leading the Council’s Building Control team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Forming part of the wider Planning Service, which deals with statutory duties and requirements under the Building Regulation Acts and other related legislation, the postholder would play a key role in monitoring and regulating developments across Knowsley and Halton.

Health and Social Care Worker – Together We Care
Full and part-time roles available. Full-time salary is £25,583 – £27,254 per annum – pro rata for part-time (plus additional payments dependant on shift pattern) and the closing date is 12 April 2026
As a Health and Social Care Worker, you will have a varied and rewarding role making a real difference to people’s lives. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to support adults across Knowsley, you will be part of a friendly team where training and ongoing support is provided.
We are seeking people willing to work a varied shift pattern including days, evenings, bank holidays and weekends. The post is subject to enhanced hours and sleep in payments as appropriate for shift patterns. We are also seeking people who want to consistently work waking nights only each week.
Our focus is provision for people with complex needs including learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and physical disabilities. The service is delivered in a range of settings including supported living, respite and day services.
