Applications for primary and secondary school places for September 2027 intake are open from 12 September 2026.
Knowsley residents can name up to three schools of preference on their application and can access the application by visiting the school admission pages of the Knowsley Council website and following the link to the online application portal Admissions (knowsley.gov.uk)
Many Knowsley schools will be oversubscribed and will have to refuse some applicants. Please read the information about the application and allocation process carefully and apply on-time.
Always remember when you are applying to list multiple preferences and don’t just list your first choice. If your first choice is full, not utilising all of your school preferences could prevent your child from automatically being allocated their next nearest school with places, which could be further from your home.
