Kirkby welcomes Suitable Attire

by Jonathan Kearney

Another business has chosen Kirkby Town Centre and will be opening a “pop up” store throughout December.

Suitable Attire has a shop in Sherborne Square in Huyton Village Centre and is now looking to expand into Kirkby throughout December by taking over Unit 25 on St Chad’s Parade.

Suitable Attire offers a range of men’s suits, shirts, shoes and accessories, but owner David Tomlinson is keen to diversify his offer to meet the needs of the Kirkby community.

The “pop up” store will open from Monday 4 December 2023 until 31 December 2023, and will open from 9.30am until 5pm Monday to Saturday (closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and the Bank Holidays).

Owner of Suitable Attire, David Tomlinson, said: “I’m delighted to be opening a “pop up” store in Kirkby Town Centre.  I’ve been watching Kirkby’s regeneration for some time, as well as the growing number of businesses based in the town and the increasing footfall, and I would like to be part of that.

An opportunity came up for me to open a “pop up” store in Kirkby Town Centre.  Hopefully, if things go well, I can look to have a more permanent base here, but I’m really looking forward to opening in December and welcoming the local community and visitors into my store.”

Councillor Tony Brennan, Regeneration and Economic Development Cabinet Member, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Suitable Attire to Kirkby Town Centre.

When we asked people “What makes a good town centre?”, one of the key priorities was a good choice of retailers – Suitable Attire will help to diversify the Town Centre with their menswear offer.”

You can find out more about the range of clothing and accessories available on Suitable Attire’s website.
