A temporary new food offer will be coming to Mill Dam in Kirkby from later this month.
The Food Box Kirkby will be operating within the car park on a temporary basis whilst a long-term operator is confirmed.
Earlier this year, the council asked the local community what it would like to see in the community building which generated 670 responses and 88% of all respondents want a café offer.
The Food Box Kirkby will provide a range of hot and cold food and drinks and will initially open at weekends. Opening times will be kept under review, with additional days potentially added depending on demand and footfall.
The Council will publish further information in the coming weeks regarding the long-term operation of the building at Mill Dam Park and hopes to announce a permanent operator later this year.
