Get closer to our feathered friends by joining the free half term activities organised by Knowsley’s Green Space Rangers in parks across the borough.
To celebrate National Nest Box Week (14th -22nd February), there will be a number of bird-themed events in parks – everything from bird ID trails and making bird feeders to learning about the great outdoors. Come and learn about the birds you can find in your local environment.

Free art-drop in session: ‘What is Art?’ – Halewood Triangle Park, Monday, 16 February, 1pm – 3pm.
Join local Illustrator Cath Garvey in this free art drop-in session experimenting with a range of materials such as collage, black tape drawing, pattern making, and mixed-media. Young people are invited to experiment with a variety of materials and playful mark making techniques exploring themes of home and what art means to them. This will be used to inform the branding for This Place, This Stage – a new three-year creative programme that puts young people at the centre of cultural life in Knowsley.

TransPennine Trail Activity Packs
Step into a world of adventure, discovery, and creativity on the Trans Pennine Trail!
The February half-term pack is FREE and filled with fun nature‑themed activities, crafts, recipes and puzzles for families to enjoy during the holiday. It’s a great way to inspire children to get creative and learn more about the outdoors and the Trans Pennine Trail.
The packs are ideal for Key Stage 1 and 2, but there’s something for everyone – whether you’re a teacher, parent, grandparent or young explorer. They’re perfect for use on the Trail, in your local park, or even indoors on a rainy day. Every pack is designed to help everyone learn, play, and make memories while exploring the outdoors.
