Adoption changed Brittany’s life — discover what it could mean for you

by Laura Johnston

For as long as she can remember, Brittany hoped one day to become a mum. With the full support of her family behind her, she decided it was time to explore adoption.

Her first step was attending an online information webinar with Adoption in Merseyside (AiM) which gave her the opportunity to learn more about adoption.

“It was relaxed, welcoming, and there was absolutely no pressure. By the end, I knew this was the right path for me.”

Throughout her journey, Brittany was supported by a dedicated social worker who guided her through each stage of the process.

“My little girl has taught me so much about myself. She’s shown me that the small things don’t matter—what matters is that she feels safe, loved, and healthy.”

Today, Brittany can’t imagine life any other way.

“I can’t imagine life without her. Our little family is perfect, and watching her grow and develop is the most incredible thing.”

She encourages anyone considering adoption—even those who feel unsure—to simply take that first step and find out more.

“Parenthood is challenging but having a strong support network makes all the difference. Adoption has changed my life in ways I never imagined.”
