A health campaign across Cheshire and Merseyside – including here in Knowsley – is encouraging residents to improve their health by drinking less alcohol and feeling the benefits.
The campaign promotes the free NHS Drink Free Days app, designed to support anyone who wants to reduce how much alcohol they drink. By helping users build a few alcohol‑free days into their weekly routine, the app offers a simple and flexible way to make positive changes.
Introducing alcohol‑free days can lead to noticeable improvements, including better sleep, boosted energy levels and saving money. For many people, small adjustments can make a big difference.
Part of the NHS Better Health initiative, the app allows residents to choose their drink‑free days, track their progress, and stay motivated with practical tips, reminders and milestone celebrations. It’s aimed at making change feel manageable—not overwhelming.
Residents across Knowsley, Cheshire and Merseyside are being encouraged to download the free NHS Drink Free Days app and take the first step towards building healthier habits.
Drinking less is a great way to boost your mood and mental wellbeing and it cuts the risk of serious problems like cancer and liver disease.
You can download the app on Google Play or App Store . Get started today so you can get healthier and feel better!
If you are concerned about your own, or someone else’s drinking, you can contact Change Grow Live by email knowlsey@cgl.org.uk or visit the website and they will be able to provide you with support, advice and guidance.
