As part of the council’s commitment to make as many services available online, from today you can now book a bulky waste collection through the council’s website.
Having the service online means that you can request a bulky waste collection when you’re at home or out and about using your PC, laptop, tablet or phone.
You can request up to 10 items and you will be able to choose a collection date convenient to you.
Cllr Jayne Aston, Cabinet Member for Resources, said:
“Contacting the council online is the fastest way to contact us and you can do it on a day and time to suit you – our website can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We’ve ensure that our most popular council services, which now includes bulky waste collections, are available online and we have many more in development, so if you haven’t discovered what you can do online, visit the Knowsley Council website today.”
In addition to bulky waste collections, through Knowsley Council online services you can pay for your Council Tax, letting us know of a change to your circumstances (such as name changes or how many people are living at the property), through to requesting a pest control visit, reporting fly tipping or requesting a replacement bin, you can do it online.
You can now also report road issues through the council’s website – from reporting a pot hole, issues with road markings to faulty pavements, you can do it through the Knowsley Council website.
If you need help, you can chat to an advisor between 9am and 5pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and between 9am and 4pm on Wednesdays. An advisor will help you to find what you’re looking for and guide you through the process.
