You can do more online…

by Laura Johnston

Did you know that you can now report potholes online through the council’s website?  You can also report issues with pavements too, such as a broken paving stone.

These are just a few of the services that you can contact us about online, at a time, date and location convenient to you, plus it’s free and there are no queues.

Other services available include:-

  • Applying for a school place, renewing your Blue Badge, setting up a direct debit, housing benefit, Council Tax reduction, a parking permit, planning application or a replacement bin.
  • Booking a registry office appointment, taxi MOT test and pest control appointment.
  • Paying for your Council Tax, business rates, penalty charge notice, fixed penalty notices and planning applications.
  • Reporting abandoned vehicles, dog fouling, fly tipping, litter, missed bins, noise pollution, road problems (including pot holes), street lights.

In addition, remember you can chat to advisor online, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, between 9am and 5pm and Wednesday between 9am and 4pm. They can help you find your way around the website including how to find your nearest school, GP, dentist, local councillor and nearest PC and free WiFi locations.

Simply visit the council’s website, click on the ‘online services’ option on the home page and you can then start a chat with an advisor.
