Yet More Choice in Kirkby Town Centre

by Lisa Bennett

Kirkby Town Centre is opening its doors this week to another two new businesses.

Doogle Donuts will take over a kiosk, which is prominently located on St Chad’s Parade.  This will be their third outlet with established businesses already operating in Prescot and Aigburth.

The business will offer an array of donuts and other bakery products, including muffins, vegan options, and a range of beverages.

Davey’s Chemist are relocating from 54/56 St Chad’s Parade to 6 St Chad’s Parade, providing a more central location within Kirkby Town Centre.

These latest businesses complement several other stores which have recently opened, including Benetton childrenswear on St Chad’s Parade and a larger Home Bargains store on the new retail development.

A Knowsley Council spokesperson said, “It’s great to see businesses opening their doors in Kirkby Town Centre, providing more choice for our residents and visitors, bringing empty units back into use, creating employment opportunities, and helping to create a vibrant town centre.”

There’s been a lot of interest from other operators and more announcements are expected over the coming months.
