Council celebrates World Social Work Day

by Laura Johnston

Tuesday, 20 March was World Social Work Day – a day when social workers worldwide stand together to celebrate the achievements of the profession as well as raising awareness of the contributions social workers make in their communities.

To celebrate the hard work, dedication and achievements of social workers in our borough, Knowsley Council took to Twitter to mark the day – sharing tweets around the clock to raise awareness of what its social workers were doing on a typical day.

The posts documented the broad range of work Knowsley’s social workers in Adult Social Care and Children’s Social Care cover and the difference they make to local communities.

In case you missed it, here’s our roundup of tweets from the day.
