Christmas craft and gifts fair
Visit Whitakers Garden Centre in Prescot to find more than 20 stalls full brilliant things to buy such as art, crafts, jewellery, and unique gifts.
You may also meet Father Christmas!
Come along on Sunday 1, Monday 9 and Sunday 15 December from 11am to 4pm.
See Santa in his Huyton grottos
Now’s the time to get those wish lists to Santa ahead of the big day – and if you’re visiting Huyton Village Centre this December there are two fantastic grottos to visit!
From 5 December, come and see Father Christmas in his grotto on Cavendish Walk (the former Poundworld store) from Thursday – Saturday, 11am until 5pm and then every day from Thursday 19 December until Christmas Eve.
You can also pay him a visit at the Francesca Bimpson Foundation grotto on Lansdowne Way (1st, 2nd & 3rd floors) every Saturday from 10.30am and also on Christmas Eve.
Entrance is £5 per child and includes a gift.
Meet the Reindeer
Bring the kids along to see Santa’s real reindeer at two events in Knowsley this Christmas. They take place at Prescot Town Centre on 7 December from 11am – 3pm and in Huyton Town Centre on 14 December from 11am – 3pm. Your final chance to see these incredible animals is at Kirkby Market on Saturday, 21 December.
All events are free and you are welcome to take your own photographs.
Christmas at Kirkby Market
Come down to Kirkby Market every Saturday before Christmas to enjoy lots of festive food and drink, carol singing and bargains galore on the market’s famous stalls.
Each Saturday between 10.30am and 3.30pm, visitors to Kirkby Market can enjoy hot chestnuts, hot Vimto, mulled wine or cider. Shop to the sound of a carols sung by a choir or festive favourites played by a brass band.
As an extra family treat, on Saturday 21 December there’s the chance to see Santa’s real reindeer make a stop at the Market before their epic journey around the world begins on Christmas Eve.
Don’t forget, there’s free parking in the town centre every Saturday in December, as well as on Christmas Eve.
And, for those last minute-shoppers, don’t worry: Kirkby Market will be open on Sunday, 22 December for all your final gifts, trinkets and food for the festive feast!
Join the Christmas party at Volair Halewood!
Come along on Tuesday 10 December from 4.30pm to 6.30pm for soft play, a present from santa, a selection box, and food and drink.
Children under eight are most suited for the party and tickets can be bought at Volair Halewood’s reception.
Tickets are £12 per child.
Halewood Christmas Concert – Ding Dong Merrily on High
Halewood Academy’s Christmas concert is back for another year and this year, audiences will be treated to music by the prestigious Manchester Camerata Brass Ensemble.
The event brings Halewood Community Choir and local schools – each of Halewood’s primary schools, and Halewood Academy – together to perform traditional Christmas classics including Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Silent Night and Away in a Manger.

Manchester Camerata, who has the proud title of UK Orchestra of the Year for 2017, perform alongside young people to promote personal and social development which can improve confidence and raise self-esteem. As a registered charity, the orchestra promotes social change and encourages music to be used as a way for people to make positive changes.
With Manchester Camerata being quoted by The Times as “Probably Britain’s most adventurous orchestra” and talented local pupils ready to spread Christmas spirit more than ever, this year’s event is one not to miss.
Ding Dong Merrily on High will be held at Halewood Academy, The Avenue L26 1UU on Tuesday 10 December 2019 from 7pm.

Mayor of Prescot’s charity Christmas concert
Come and attend the Mayor of Prescot’s charity Christmas concert at Prescot Parish Church on Thursday 12 December from 7pm to 8.15pm
Enjoy music from Prescot Parish Church Choir, St Mary and St Paul’s Primary School Choir, Bluebell Park School Makaton Singing Choir, Evelyn Community Primary School and staff choirs.
There will be sing-a-long carols and festive refreshments!
Tickets are £5 on the door and accompanied under 16s are free
All of the proceeds go to the Mayor of Prescot’s charities
Al’s Christmas Carol Service
Knowsley’s award-winning adult disability social club and daycare, Al’s Club, are hosting Al’s Christmas Carol Service on 20 December from 6.30pm until 7.30pm at Al’s Arc, 40 Eccleston street, Prescot.
Tickets are £3 and include a free mince pie and cup of tea or coffee.
They also have a Christmas craft and table fair at the same venue on 21 December from 11am to 2pm .
