Webinar to support Knowsley’s businesses

by Jonathan Kearney

Knowsley Council’s Town Centres Management team is hosting a webinar for retail and hospitality businesses on Friday 2 October 2020.

With increasing cases of COVID-19 across the borough and new guidance and rules being issued by the Government, the webinar aims to support businesses in Knowsley through this difficult time, particularly with new rules placed on the retail and hospitality sectors.

Between 6pm and 7pm, representatives from businesses can join the webinar via https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84422992763 (the meeting ID is 844 2299 2763).

As well as the Town Centres team, representatives from the Council’s Licensing, Environmental Health, Public Health and Trading Standards teams will be available to answer any questions.

Attendees will receive updates on:-

  • Knowsley’s latest position in terms of figures
  • Latest updates on restrictions that have been imposed to reduce the spread of the virus
  • Steps businesses should be taking to ensure they adhere to the rules as well as ensuring compliance with COVID-secure guidance
  • Question and Answer session to ask specific questions relating to your business

Cllr Tony Brennan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, said: “I know that our businesses have been hugely impacted by the pandemic. We are doing all that we can to support them. The Government guidance coming out hasn’t been easy to understand so I want to ensure that our businesses know what they should be doing as well as knowing that we are here to support them through these difficult times.”

In addition, Knowsley Chamber is hosting an Outbreak Management webinar for businesses on Tuesday 6 October from 10am.

The 90 minute session aims to raise awareness of the local approach to outbreaks, how they will be managed and what support is available. Public Health, Working Well and Knowsley Chamber experts are on-hand to share information, best practice and help businesses to reduce transmission within their premises.
