Knowsley Youth Offending Service [YOS] works with children and their parents/carers to find ways to stop their offending and make up for the harm that their behaviour has caused in their communities.
We are looking to recruit people from diverse backgrounds to become members of our Community Youth Panel. The Panel meets with children to agree and review contracts of the work they will complete with Knowsley YOS.
This volunteering opportunity is open to people aged 18 and over and is a rewarding and practical way to be involved in making our communities a safer place as well as gaining skills and experience.
We are looking for people who are:
- Patient and objective
- A good listener
- An excellent communicator
- Able to relate to children and young people
Volunteers are provided with full training and will be expected to give a few hours to the role most weeks, with any expenses paid.
If you are interested, please contact Knowsley YOS on 0151-443-3079 or e-mail: youthoffendingservice@knowsley.gov.uk and you will be sent an information pack, including an application form.
The closing date for applications is 15 November 2023.
