Volair’s investment into leisure services in Knowsley continues

by Laura Johnston

As part of Volair’s investment programme to ensure leisure facilities in Knowsley are equipped with the most up-to-date equipment to meet members’ requirements, Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park’s gym refurbishment is due to take place from 5 to 7 December 2017.

During these three days, the gym will be closed but members can use any of the other gym facilities in the borough at Halewood, Kirkby, Prescot and Stockbridge Village.  The swimming pool, badminton court and activities in the sports hall will not be affected and it’s business as usual.

The refurbishment at Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park includes an extended free weights area with dumbbells up to 50kg, Olympic platform, boxing bags, sled track, TRX suspension weight training, cable cross over and extended functional area, ensuring users have access to the best facilities, equipment and classes.

The gym will re-open again at 9am on Friday, 8 December 2017.

Kevin Schofield, Managing Director of Volair, said “We are committed to providing the best leisure facilities in Knowsley which can be enjoyed by current members and those in years to come.  We will continue to invest in the services we provide, ensuring we meet the needs to users.”

Volair was established in April 2016 and is a ‘not for profit’ organisation meaning that any profits are ploughed back into the services it provides.
