Take a virtual tour to mark Knowsley Flower Show weekend

by Gemma Melling

This weekend – August 7 and 8 – should have seen thousands of revellers flock to Court Hey Park for the annual Knowsley Feelgood Festival and Flower Show.

Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions and uncertainty, the show has had to be cancelled for the second year in a row.

But you needn’t miss out on your fix of flowers! Because instead, the show’s top growers are treating you to a virtual ‘tour’ of what’s growing in their gardens – and giving away some of their top tips for perfect blooms and supersized vegetables!

What’s more, you can stroll through a virtual sunflower field as you browse all the images that have been sent in for the Knowsley Sunflower Challenge so far. With people right across Knowsley joining in to see if they can grow the tallest or the most beautiful specimen, the online gallery of sunflowers is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Visit the Knowsley Flower Show website this weekend to take a look!

It’s not too late to get involved with the Knowsley Sunflower Challenge!
