The Ford/Jaguar Landrover Bridge that services South Road from the A561 westbound carriageway, requires steel replacement and repairs.
The works are planned to commence from 23 October 2026 for a period of approximately two months.
To undertake the works safely, the eastbound carriageway of the A561 Speke Boulevard will be closed for between 6-8 weeks with a traffic contraflow system allowing two-way traffic flow on the westbound carriageway.
The road leading to and from South Road to Speke Boulevard will be closed for the duration of the works. This is an access road to Jaguar Land Rover and the Ford Estate and both companies have alternative accesses that can be used.
