Today marks the second anniversary of the tragic events in Southport, that claimed the lives of Alice da Silva Aguiar, Bebe King and Elsie Dot Stancombe.
A three-minute silence will take place today at 3pm and the flags at Huyton Municipal and the Kirkby Centre will be flying at half-mast as a mark of respect.
Cllr Morgan, Leader of Knowsley Council, said:
“Today, on the second anniversary of the Southport tragedy, we stand in solidarity with Southport and with all those impacted. We remember Alice, Bebe and Elsie, and keep their families, friends and all those whose lives were changed that day in our thoughts. I would encourage everyone to take a moment out of their day to stop and pause to remember and reflect.”
