Knowsley’s Educational Psychology service is seeking the views of children, young people and their parent / carers on any worries or issues which could prevent them from attending school, known as Emotional Barriers to School Attendance (EBSA).
By listening to children, families, schools and professionals, the service can:-
- better understand what school feels like for children and young people
- learn what supports emotional wellbeing and attendance
- improve the way schools and services respond to these difficulties.
Surveys have been developed to seek the views of:-
- Children and young people – Click here to find out more or complete the Children & Young People Survey
- Parent and carer survey – complete the Parent & Carers Survey
- If you work in a school, you can complete the School Survey
- There’s also a Youth Workers Survey here if you are someone who works with children and young people.
Please spare a few moments to share your views by Friday 17 July 2026. Your views will help the service to better understand what children and young people need when coming to school feels difficult.
