Tweets of the Week, November 18

by Gemma Melling

With many of the council’s services taking part in the 24-hour Local Government Association tweetathon, #OurDay on Tuesday, it has been a particularly busy week on Twitter for the borough!

A few of our favourites from the one-day awareness campaign have made it into our roundup of Tweets of the Week, highlighting some of the lesser-known council services that Knowsley Council provides but people often don’t think about… until they need to use them!

Also making it into this week’s roundup are kindhearted local children, raising money for good causes; exploring some exciting new technology and learning something slightly more traditional – how to recite a poem from memory.

There’s also sporting success for a local football club, business success for a locally based energy company, and a celebration of the success of some hard-working local volunteers.

And if you still want more tweets from Knowsley, check out the full report on this week’s #OurDay twitter marathon.
