Tree cutting at McGoldrick Park

by Gemma Melling

The council has removed a number of Poplar trees from the St Anne’s Road boundary of McGoldrick Park, Huyton.

The trees are near a busy footpath and road, and in recent windy weather, they have shed some large branches. With the potential risk of injuries caused by further branch loss, the council has decided that removing the trees is now necessary.

The trees will be replaced later this year with a species more suited to the location.
