Home Children and Young People Training for young cyclists

Training for young cyclists

by Laura Johnston

Liverpool Century Road Club is offering Go-Ride coaching and training for young cyclists keen to improve their cycling and cycle racing skills.

The weekly sessions – aimed at cyclists aged six to 16 – will be held at Lord Derby Academy, Seel Road, Huyton, every Thursday at 6pm, starting Thursday 18 May, and cost £2 a session.

The coaching and training will be held under the British Cycling Go-Ride umbrella with a qualified level 2 coach, and will be supervised at all times.  Each rider will need a roadworthy bike and helmet for the sessions which will be held in a traffic-free environment. A parental consent form must be filled in for all those taking part.
