Tinnitus and Hard of Hearing support groups in Knowsley

by Cathy Sheel

Two new support groups will be starting in Knowsley over the coming weeks.

A Tinnitus support group, along with a Hard of Hearing support group will be introduced, helping residents who suffer from Tinnitus or are hard of hearing.

The Hard of Hearing support group will meet on the fourth Wednesday of the month from 1pm until 3pm, starting on Wednesday 22 September – come along for information, support and sharing your experiences.

The Tinnitus support group will meet on the second Wednesday of every month starting on Wednesday 13 October from 1pm until 3pm. The group is an informal get-together where people come together to share their experience of Tinnitus and can access information and support to help them with their management of Tinnitus.

Both groups are free to attend and will take place at the Old School Community Project, St John’s Road, Huyton, L36 0UX.

Staff from the Deafness Resource Centre and Knowsley Deaf Service will be running the groups and you can just drop-in – no booking is needed.

To find out more about either group, please email dws.dutyOT@knowsley.gov.uk or all 01744 23887.
