Knowsley Council – as part of the regional adoption agency for Merseyside – is inviting people who may have been considering adopting to find out more about what’s involved from someone who’s been on the journey.
Adoption in Merseyside (AiM) hosts regular information sessions where prospective adopters are able to find out more about adoption from the friendly team. You will also hear from an adopter who will share their story and at the end of the session there will be chance to ask any questions you may have.
AiM’s next online information webinars will take place on:
- Tuesday 21 November at 6pm
- Wednesday 13 December at 6pm
Once you have registered for a session joining instructions will be sent a few days in advance.
Cllr Margaret Harvey, Knowsley Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, said:
“I’d urge anyone who has been thinking about completing their family through adoption to reach out to Adoption in Merseyside and find out what it might mean for you.
“We need loving homes for all our children and we’re particularly keen to hear from people who would consider adopting siblings. Keeping brothers and sisters together maintains what is likely to be the most constant relationship throughout their lives and will provide them an important sense of identity as they grow older.”
AiM recruits adopters for local authorities in Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton and Wirral.
