The Range is coming to Prescot!

by Jonathan Kearney

The Range has confirmed it will be opening its doors at Cables Retail Park in Prescot.

The national store will occupy two current empty units (formerly Argos and Outfit), taking up a prime site on the retail park.

In addition, it is also expected to create a number of jobs for local people.

Work is already underway on converting the two units into one 23,000 sq ft store which will sell an array of goods from furniture, bedding, curtains, crafts, DIY, garden and pet supplies.

The store is expected to open in March 2022.

Free car parking for over 900 vehicles is available at the retail park, which is also a short walk from the train station in the town. The retail park is also well connected by the bus network.

Cllr Tony Brennan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, said: “These are exciting times for Prescot, with the town centre undergoing a renaissance and the Shakespeare North Playhouse opening this year to coincide with Knowsley’s Borough of Culture celebrations.

“I’m delighted to welcome The Range to Prescot, offering even more choice for our residents and visitors as well as jobs too for local people.”
