Support Alzheimer’s Society on Elf Day

by Laura Johnston

Staff at ‘I Care Knowsley, a main provider of domiciliary care in Huyton, Halewood, and Cronton, are unleashing their inner elf in aid of Alzheimer’s Society – and they want you to get involved in the festive fundraising campaign.

With 1,719 people in Knowsley living with dementia and the national figure of 850,000 expecting to rise, I Care is taking action in the fight against dementia. The team will be joining a number of organisations in dressing up as a Christmas elf for ‘Elf Day’, to fund research, and help improve care and support for dementia patients.

I Care is helping raise money by holding cake sales, raffles, and a tombola. Some ways you could join in the fun is by selling food and drink, shaking a bucket, hosting a movie night for donations, or you just could keep it simple by wearing red and green to bring attention to the campaign.

Elf Day is on Friday 7 December 2018 but there are no rules about when it’s ok to fundraise dressed as an elf – any day is just as good and worthwhile.

You can register for your free fundraising kit and find out more information on the Alzheimer’s Society website.
