Strike a pose and help create new artwork for Huyton train station

by Jonathan Kearney

Huyton residents and visitors are invited to help create a new sculptural artwork for Huyton train station.

Huyton-born artist Andrew Small is creating the new artwork and is hosting a free interactive workshop on Saturday 8 February to help bring it to life.

Andrew creates sculptures that, using clever optical illusions, appear to move as you walk past them. To inspire the new train station artwork he needs people to create three images by striking a pose in the workshop’s pop-up photobooth.

The free workshop takes place at Make on the Corner, 22 Derby Road, starting at 1pm.

The completed artwork is scheduled to be installed at the station next month.
