A second Family Hub has opened in Knowsley (on Monday 30 June), based at New Hutte Neighbourhood Centre in Halewood. This latest offer extends and supports the Family Hub currently operating from The Pride Centre in Kirkby.
Family Hubs bring together professionals, services and support in one place to help children and families to thrive.
It provides services that help give expectant parents and babies a great start to life, supporting parents through parenting classes, learning support, midwifery, health visiting, infant feeding advice, child development support and perinatal mental health support.
The aim is to make services easier to navigate and more joined-up, ensuring families receive the right service at the right time.
Since opening the first Family Hub in Kirkby in September 2023, hundreds of families have been supported and feedback has been extremely positive.
The Family Hub in Halewood will be open from 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday.
You can find out more about the Family Hub offer by visiting Knowsley Start for Life, calling 0151 443 5633 or emailing Familyhubs@knowsley.gov.uk.
Cllr David Lonergan, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, said “I’m delighted to welcome a second Family Hub to the borough. I know from speaking to staff and families that the advice and support provided really is a lifeline and has helped so many families to get the right support at the right time.
“The offer at the Family Hub is aligned to local needs and is helping families to thrive.
“If you haven’t already seen the offer available, I’d encourage you to take a look or pop in to one of the Knowsley Family Hubs either at the Pride Centre or New Hutte Children and Family Hub to speak to the staff about the range of help and support that is available.”
