This summer, Prescot-based theatre group Imaginarium Theatre (formerly MATE Productions) will be visiting parks across Knowsley and Merseyside to perform an amazing production of Shakespeare’s tragic love story Romeo and Juliet.
Known as ‘the greatest love story ever told’, Romeo and Juliet is the tale of two young lovers destined for tragedy after attempting to escape their powerful, feuding families.
In Imaginarium Theatre’s production, expect Italian opera, thrilling fight choreography, fire dancing, and generally a brilliant spectacle!
You will watch the performance in the great outdoors – just as you would have watched Romeo and Juliet be performed in Shakespearean times.
As part of the tour, Imaginarium Theatre will be performing in Knowsley on the following dates:
- Prescot Woodland Theatre – Saturday 15 June and Saturday 13 July – 2pm and 7pm
- St Nicholas Church Gardens, Halewood – Sunday 23 June – 2pm and 7pm
Prices range from £8.80 to £15.40 including administration fees. You can buy your tickets online.
