To mark Armistice Day 2025 in Knowsley, a number of Civic Acts of Remembrance are taking place across the borough.
These are as follows:
Huyton Cenotaph
Sunday, 9 November 2025 from 10.45am
Outdoor service and laying of wreaths, organised by the Royal British Legion.
You’ll find Huyton Cenotaph between Huyton Library and Knowsley Council’s Municipal Annex on Civic Way, Huyton.
Tuesday, 11 November 2025 from 10.45am
The outdoor service is organised by the Royal British Legion and will include the laying of wreaths.
Huyton Cenotaph is located between Huyton Library and Knowsley Council’s Municipal Annex on Civic Way, Huyton.
Prescot Cenotaph
Sunday, 9 November 2025 from 9.40am.
A parade will take place from Prescot Primary School to Prescot Parish church followed by an outdoor service at the cenotaph and an indoor service at Prescot Parish Church. Timings as follows:
- 9.40am – 10.05am Gathering at Prescot Primary
- 10.25am – Parade moves off from Prescot Primary School to Prescot Parish Church
- 10.50am – Outdoor service and the laying of wreaths at the Cenotaph, Prescot Parish Church
- 11.15am – Indoor Service at Prescot Parish Church
- 12noon (approx) – Return of Parade from Prescot Parish Church to Prescot Primary School

Kirkby Cenotaph
Sunday 9 November 2025, from 10.30am.
The outdoor service is organised by the Royal British Legion and will include the laying of wreaths.
You’ll find Kirkby Cenotaph outside the Kirkby Centre on Norwich Way.
