Coronavirus Knowsley: important reminder

Remember we’re still here to help

by Cathy Sheel

During the current lockdown Knowsley residents are reminded that the council’s Covid 19 Community Support and Volunteer Line is still here to help those facing difficulties.

People can call the freephone helpline on 0800 073 0043 if they have been asked to self-isolate and have NO means of support from friends, family, or neighbours, or if they are struggling to make ends meet.

From Monday, 11 January, the helpline opening hours will be Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm.

If a call is made outside of these opening hours, the caller can leave a voicemail message and someone will contact them the following working day.

The facility for residents to log an enquiry via the covid-19 referral form on the council’s website will still be available 24/7.

The helpline was created at the outset of the first lockdown last year and has received hundreds of call from residents needing support, as well as those volunteering to help during the pandemic.

You can get in touch if you need help with:

  • Shopping
  • Dog walking
  • Collecting prescriptions
  • Or just to have a friendly voice to speak to
