The campaign to boost the number of social care workers in Knowsley has come to Huyton.
Knowsley’s Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, Cllr Del Arnall and staff from the council’s social care teams hosted a recruitment roadshow in Huyton Village Centre.
The team invited locals to hear about the job opportunities in Knowsley’s social worker teams, as well as opportunities for care workers with Knowsley’s Adult Provider Services.
They also invited would-be recruits to a Social Care Recruitment Event on Saturday 11 March, 10-4pm at the Village Hotel, Whiston, where they will hear more about the job opportunities, work taking place in Knowsley and talk to colleagues providing social care and social work services across the borough. It’s a drop in event, so people can come along at a time to suit them. Those attending can also attend fast track interviews on the day or book an appointment the following week.
The recruitment campaign entitled ‘Make a change today. Make a difference every day’ is calling on newly qualified and experienced social workers who may be considering their next career move to join the council’s social worker teams, as well as promoting opportunities for care workers within the council’s own Adult Provider Services. Adult Provider Services provides respite, supported living and day services to adults with the most complex needs in Knowsley.
Cllr Arnall said: “I was delighted to join the team promoting the fantastic career opportunities on offer at Knowsley Council. Knowsley is a great place to live, work and visit, and those joining our social care teams can expect the support of a dynamic and passionate team, excellent career opportunities and the chance to make a difference to the lives of children, families and adults across the borough.”
