Joe has been running a stall in Huyton Village Centre for over 30 years and has now moved into a new purpose-built unit, literally 5 metres away!
Joe opens up his stall six days a week and in all weathers, but as part of the Huyton Village Centre redevelopment which is being managed by Knowsley Council, Joe now has a more permanent base in the heart of the village centre.
From starting work on his family’s fruit and veg stall, Joe has been managing his own stall in Huyton selling a range of household items, toys and seasonal goods and is well-known in the local community.

His new permanent base will make trading much easier for Joe to trade in sun, rain, wind and snow and provides a central location for him to also be part of Huyton Live, which takes place on the last Friday of the month with events confirmed for July, August and September.
Cllr Graham Morgan, Leader of Knowsley Council, said
“Joe is very popular in Huyton and is a great ambassador for the Village Centre. He has welcomed new businesses into Huyton as well as always providing a warm welcome for residents and visitors who shop here. I’m delighted that Joe has a more permanent base and I wish him well in the future.”
“I’m so pleased with my new ‘home’ and it really will make such a huge difference to me. I’m still centrally located and I love interacting with people on a daily basis. I’m so grateful for the support I have received over the last 30 years – from customers, other businesses in the village centre as well as Knowsley Council and the Labour councillors. With so much development going on here and lots of new businesses opening over the coming months, there are exciting times ahead for Huyton. Here’s to another 30 years!”
