Polling District / Station Review

by Gemma Melling

The next phase of consultation regarding the locations of polling districts and polling places/stations has now opened.

It’s a requirement under the Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013 that a review should be undertaken every five years.

The review aims to ensure that polling stations are located where they need to be as well as being accessible, helping to ensure that as many residents as possible are able to vote in the local and Parliamentary elections.

Comments were invited (with a closing date of 12 September 2024) regarding the borough’s current arrangements. As a result of this feedback, the Council is now sharing its proposals for polling stations across the borough which can be viewed here.

If you have any comments relating to the proposals, please share your views and comments by email to elections@knowsley.gov.uk or in writing addressed to Knowsley Elections Office, Huyton Municipal Building, Archway Road, Huyton, L36 9YU.

The closing date for comments is 19 November 2024.

Further information on the review is available on the Council’s website.
