Personal Independence Payment workshops

by Emily Maguire

The Government is hosting a number of workshops as part of the ‘Timms Review’, ensuring that Personal Independence Payments (PIP) are fair and fit for the future.

There will be 15 workshops (in-person and online) across the country, primarily for disabled people and people with long-term health conditions, ideally with experience interacting with the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) process.

You can now register your interest to attend a workshop and the registration process closes on Friday 21 August 2026 at 5pm. Selected participants will be informed if they have been invited to attend a workshop by 4 September 2026.

The workshops will focus on your views of the Review’s emerging recommendations, rather than identifying problems within the current system. You can read more about the Timms Review here.

The workshops are designed primarily for disabled people and people with long-term health conditions, ideally with experience of interacting with the PIP process, joining in a personal capacity. You do not need any previous experience of engaging with government reviews to take part in a workshop.
