As we approach the festive season a drive to reduce drunkenness is underway in Knowsley and across the region.
You could be refused service at a pub, bar or club if you are evidently drunk and if you buy a drink for someone who is clearly drunk you personally could be fined £1000.
Cllr Sean Donnelly, Knowsley Cabinet Member for Health and Social Care, said:
“Drunkenness can have immediate health consequences such as alcohol poisoning, and can contribute to sexual violence, accidents and violent crimes.
“It’s simple really, if you’re going on a night out drink less before heading out and less when you’re in bars, pubs and clubs and enjoy your night more.”
