Knowsley Council has produced its first annual parking report for 2018/19 in a video format (click to watch it above).
The report highlights how residents, businesses, schools and community groups have been listened to and where possible, measures have been introduced to resolve concerns and improve road safety.
Cllr Shelley Powell, Cabinet Member for Communities and Neighbourhoods, said “We have come a long way since civil parking enforcement was introduced in 2015. Our team works closely with local communities in order to address parking issues causing concern, identifying and implementing solutions, as well as improving safety for road users, pedestrians and cyclists.”
The video showcases the parking team’s engagement with schools and businesses along with improvements that have been introduced over the last few years.
In addition, the video highlights some of the parking rules that drivers should be aware of.
Cllr Tony Brennan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, added: “I’m delighted to share the video produced which highlights the breadth of civil parking matters we deal with on a day-to-day basis. Our aim is around safety as well as improving traffic management across the borough.”
