Home Children and Young People Panto returns to Knowsley this Christmas

Panto returns to Knowsley this Christmas

Oh yes it does!

by Gemma Melling

After a year without slapstick due to the COVID pandemic, there’s some great news for panto fans!

This year’s Christmas panto at Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park has been confirmed: and it’s the magical tale of Aladdin which will be delighting families this year.

Expect a fun packed, laugh-a-minute panto when Trio Entertainment return to the borough after the success of 2019’s panto, The Wizard of Oz.

Tricked into going into the ‘cave of wonders’ by the evil Abanazar, Aladdin finds himself trapped in a cave with nothing but a dirty old lamp and no way out. When Aladdin rubs the lamp a magical Genie appears to save the day and rescue him from the cave and grants him three extravagant wishes…

Join the hilarious Aladdin who joined by his wacky washerwoman mother Widow Twankey along with the beautiful Princess Jasmine, her guardian the crazy but strict police chief and a magical spirit to guide our hero along the way on this magical carpet ride of a pantomime.

Performances take place on:
