Diners visiting Knowsley’s town centres are now spoilt for choice when it comes to the range of eateries available.
The borough’s hospitality offer has been transformed in recent years, with significant investment in our town centres attracting an abundance of new restaurants, bars, cafes, coffee shops and more.
Investments including the shopfront improvement scheme in Huyton Village Centre, the construction of the iconic Shakespeare North Playhouse in Prescot and the town centre retail development in Kirkby have encouraged an influx of new hospitality businesses and created a burgeoning evening economy.
Residents and visitors can now sample over 70 eateries across our town centres, offering everything from fine dining to quick bites.
Cllr Tony Brennan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, said: “There really is something for everyone now when it comes to eating out in our town centres. Whether it’s home comforts or cuisines from around the world there really is a fantastic choice available. There’s a great choice for families, plenty of options for a night out with your partner or friends and there is a fantastic selection of eateries offering a quick bite or a lunch. There is a nice mix of well-known brands and unique, independent businesses. The eateries and bars are situated across our town centres too, not just clustered in one area. If you haven’t already I would encourage anyone to sample a few of them. There is something to suit all tastes and budgets.”
Cllr Brennan added: “The transformation of our hospitality offer hasn’t happened by accident. The Council has committed to significant investment across our town centres, which has prompted the arrival of an array of new businesses. This really is an exciting time for our town centres, which are thriving with a diverse offer while others across the country are struggling.”
