Make Huyton Village is inviting people interested in a creative studio space to come along for a tour and to find out more about getting involved.
Make Huyton Village, which opened in May 2023 in the former Boots unit on Derby Road, is hosting open days during September.
The 7,000 sq ft ‘maker’ space offers private studios and shared workspace for making, learning, exploring and sharing.
Make is inviting people to tour around their studios, Innovation Lab and Make on the Corner at 22 Derby Road – a ‘pop-up’ retail and community space, showcasing and supporting ‘makers’ to take their first step into making and selling outside of the home.
Open days will be held on the following dates:
- Saturday 16 September – 11am-3pm
- Saturday 30 September – 11am-3pm
Tours will last 40 to 60 minutes and begin every hour between 11am and 3pm at the front of Make Huyton Village, 47-49 Derby Road.
With a focus on creating workspace for makers, artists and creatives – Make also offers business support geared towards those who make and want to turn their passion into prosperity.
Make Huyton Village offers a variety of studio, desk and private work spaces starting from £110 per month. Makers currently include a candle maker, a publisher, an animator, an arts organisation, a vegan pick & mix business, a 3D print company and independent artists.
Make on the Corner at 22 Derby Road is a flexible space for hire, whether it’s a pop-up shop, art gallery, meeting space or rehearsal space for dance or drama. Make on the Corner can used by the community to host book clubs, knitting circles, games groups, classes, workshops, screenings and more. It is available to hire, whether you are a Make resident or not.
Tours are free and you can book a place on one of the open days here.
